If wisdom tooth pain and discomfort are impacting you or your teen’s smile – it’s time to have them checked out. Although not everyone has wisdom tooth problems in their teens or 20s, a significant percentage of people do.
Dr. Stone will need to take an x-ray of your wisdom teeth and perform a thorough evaluation of their development to see what steps we need to take. In some cases, you may only need to manage the discomfort temporarily. In others, the wisdom teeth may need to be extracted due to: chronic pain, infection, damage to adjacent teeth, partial eruption (leading to decay or gum disease), or crowding.
