Dental Crowns and Bridges

It is Dr. Stone’s goal to help his patients achieve and maintain healthy and beautiful smiles for a lifetime. Teeth that have sustained severe damage usually cannot be repaired with something as simple as a filling.

A dental crown is designed to cover your tooth completely. A crown may be recommended when teeth have been impacted by: root canal treatments, large cavities, moderate to severe fractures, advanced wear, or large failing fillings.

Bridges are designed to look like your natural teeth; however, they are actually two functional crowns with one or more false teeth bonded between them. Each end of the bridge is anchored over a tooth, spanning across the open space of the missing tooth. Bridges can also be placed on top of dental implants.

Dental Inlays and Onlays

If enough tooth structure is available, Dr. Stone may prefer to place an inlay or onlay instead of a full crown, which is more like a three-quarter crown. Crowns, inlays, and onlays usually take two appointments to complete.

During your first visit to our office Dr. Stone will prepare your tooth and take an impression. We will use this impression to have a custom restoration made, which is usually ready to cement in place within 10 to 14 days.

Why Should I Replace a Missing Tooth?

Let’s say that your missing tooth is a little bit further back in your mouth.  Replacing it may not seem like a priority since it does not necessarily show when you are talking or smiling. What it does do, however, is leave open space for other teeth to start shifting. Even small movement as little as one or two millimeters can have a tremendous impact on the function, health and appearance of your entire smile.

Happy Patients Make Us Smile

"I’ve been going to this office for several years. Renee is so great and does an amazing job. Cathy, at the front desk, is always nice and super helpful. I now bring my young daughters here. Even though we moved, it is worth the 35-minute drive!"

- Deanna W.
"I’ve been a client for over 30 years—and if that doesn’t show how much I love this team. When Dr. Aiello retired, I was devastated—I didn’t think anyone could fill his shoes. But Dr. Stone stepped in and hasn’t missed a beat. I couldn’t be more impressed. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!"
